第三節(jié) 反身代詞
反身代詞主要有：
第一人稱：myself, ourselves（復數(shù)）
第二人稱：yourself, yourselves（復數(shù)）
第三人稱：himself, herself, itself, themselves（復數(shù)）
還有一個oneself
1. 在TOEFL考試中，經�；煜瓷泶~的寫法，結尾的-self和-selves經常故意寫錯
例題：
In Williamsburg, the capital of Virginia until 1780, people conducted themself much like the gentry in London.
應改為：themselves
2. 反身代詞的用法
可以用來做賓語： He hurt himself when he fell.
可以用來做表語： He is not quite himself today. (他今天有些不舒服)
反身代詞經常放在名詞或者代名詞的后面來進行強調, 表示“親自”的意思
I myself do it.
I do it myself.
They made the research themselves.
但是不能夠說：Himself does it. 應改為： He does it.
This is himself’s book.. 應改為：This is his own book..
3．TOEFL考試中經常會出現(xiàn)反身代詞用錯的時候，其中最主要的是Oneself
例題：
The vanilla vine sends out tiny rootlets by which the vine attaches oneself to trees.
應改為：itself.
Oneself 往往要跟one對應，例如：
One should not livef for oneself alone.
4．反身代詞常和一些介詞連用組成一些慣用語，了解它們對做題和閱讀都大有幫助
by oneself (單獨、獨自)
He said that he could do it by himself.
For oneself: 為了自己
