【課文要點】：一種廣告策略，就是先把產品的缺點講出來，接著講優點，說優點是如何彌補缺點的。

【教授舉例】：教授將他最近剛好看到一個例子，是一個很有名的公司叫pots and paint（音），然后打廣告，是cookwear廣告。讓一個家庭主婦先說缺點，就是好貴啊，很多消費者完全不考慮買的，一樣價錢買別的啊，但是！Save money in the long-run！因為提供質保！

【學生困難】：男生有困難，他在為campus newspaper寫article,關于馬上要上演的一個play的，他本來要采訪student director,但是導演得了severe bad cold，只能延遲。
【解決方案】：兩個建議1）延遲采訪導演，但是到時候play都演出了，觀眾就對這個article不感興趣了。2）采訪一個actor,而且那個actor已經同意了，但是演員不像導演一樣知道很多information，比如play plan之類的

【講課要點】：講湖泊不是永久的，會消失的，兩個原因導致：natural process，和human activities。自然原因就是，有些湖，特別是那種湖底好多plants的湖，等植物死掉，會沉淀到湖底，久而久之，less room for water，就fulfilled了。人為因素：農民伯伯要灌溉植物，最簡便的方法就是把附近湖水pump出來灌溉，當有水補充進湖還好，當rain water和stream water都不足的時候，問題就出來的，湖水不能balance，就干涸了。
