成人英語三級閱讀輔導：數詞成語(一)

漢語中含數詞的成語到處可見。如：百發百中，一箭 雙雕，五光十色等等。英語中含數詞的成語亦不少。 這些含數詞的成語及習語用在文章里會使語言更加豐 富多彩。生動活潑。幽默風趣，從而使文章達到良好 的修辭效果。為此，筆者將這些數詞成語總結如下， 給同行們參考：
1.含有one以及first的成語
(1) one by one 一個個地
Students went out of the classroom one by one as soon as the bell rang.
下課鈴一響，學生們一個個從教室里走出來。
(2) at one 一致
Their opinion is at one.
他們的意見一致。
(3) in one 合為一體
It's a book of English phonetics，grammar and usage in one.
這是一本英語語音、語法和習慣用語結合為一體的書。
(4) one another 互相
We should help one another.
我們應該互相幫助。
(5) one to one 一比一
Neither of them won，one to one.
他倆沒一個贏，而是一比一。
4.含有four的成語
(1) foursquare 直率的;坦白的
The girl is four square.
這女孩很直率。
(2) on all fours 爬著
The baby goes on all fours.
這嬰兒在地上爬行。
(3) four-lettered words 下流話
These books are full of four-lettered words.
這些書里臟話連篇。
(4) in fours 每組四個
Students are standing in a line，in fours.
學生們每組四人排成隊
(6) one too many 多余的，不需要的
I found myself one too many among people.
我發現自己在人群中是個多余的人。
(7) one in a thousand 優秀的人(或事物)
My brother is a one in a thousand.
我的兄弟是位優秀人物。
(8) taking one with another總的看來
The youth，taking one with another，is a nice worker.
總的來說，這位年青人還是個不錯的工人。
(9) from the first 首先;馬上;立刻
I knew him from the first.
從一開始我就認識他。
(10) first off 首先;馬上;立刻
They come to our office first off.
他們馬上就要到我們辦公室來。
(11) first water 極端
You are a fool of the first water.
你真是個大傻瓜。
2. 含有two以及second的成語
(1)two-way 雙向的
He invented a two-way recorder.
他發明了兩用收錄機。
(2) in two twos 立刻;一轉眼
My pen was lost in two twos.
我的鋼筆一轉眼就不見了。
(3) put two and two together 根據事實推斷
Thev came to the conclusion that he hadn't run out of their city，putting two and two together.
根據事實推斷，他們得出這樣的結論,他還沒有跑出這座城市。
(4) two-to-two shop 當鋪
This is only a two-to-two shop.
這只是一間當鋪。
(5) second to none 最好的;不可比擬的
The jackets are second to none in the shop.
在這個商店里，這些上衣是上等的。
(6) not for a second 決不
"Are you tired after running"? "No, not for a second."
"跑步以后你覺得累嗎?" -- "不，一點也不累。"
3. 含有three及third的成語。
(1) three-bottle man 大酒徒
His grandfather is a three-bottle man.
他外公是個大酒徒。
(2) third dimension 真實感
The film seems to have a third dimension.
這部電影看起來有真實感。
4.含有four的成語
(1) foursquare 直率的;坦白的
The girl is four square.
這女孩很直率。
(2) on all fours 爬著
The baby goes on all fours.
這嬰兒在地上爬行。
(3) four-lettered words 下流話
These books are full of four-lettered words.
這些書里臟話連篇。
(4) in fours 每組四個
Students are standing in a line，in fours.
學生們每組四人排成隊
