 　　2017考研英語之經典詞匯復習(三)

　　全國碩士研究生入學英語統(tǒng)一考試是為非英語專業(yè)考生設置的，所以，考研的詞匯不會涉及太多專業(yè)詞匯的考察，大部分都是閱讀各類期刊、雜志所需要的基礎詞匯和常見詞匯。

　　因此，我們在準備考研英語時，不妨多閱讀一些涉及題源文章的期刊，可以有效地擴大我們的詞匯量，豐富我們的閱讀的背景知識。在平常單詞的記憶中，我們也不妨通過經典的真題例句來理解和記憶單詞，通過語境，更加深刻地認識和理解單詞，達到深入記憶的效果。

　　下面我們一起來學習幾組句子，通過句子記憶里面的經典單詞。

　　1)The townsfolk don’t see it this way and local council does notcontribute directly to the subsidy of the Royal Shakespeare Company. (真題 2006, Text 2, Paragraph 4)

　　鎮(zhèn)上人可不這么認為，當地議會也不會直接補貼皇家劇團。

　　2) Few Americans attribute this solely to such obvious causes as a devalued dollar or the turning of the business cycle. (真題 2000, Text 1, Paragraph 4)

　　沒幾個美國人將這一巨變單純歸因于美元貶值或商業(yè)周期循環(huán)這些顯而易見的原因。

　　3)Thus the American president and vice-president have surnames starting with B and C respectively. (真題 2004, Text 2, Paragraph 3)

　　如此這般，美國的總統(tǒng)和副總統(tǒng)的姓氏分別是以B和C字母起頭。

　　注：herd本來指“獸群”，但加了the后，它的英文解釋是：large number of people。比如：the common herd 普通民眾

　　每個人都有潛在的能量，只是很容易被習慣所掩蓋，被時間所迷離, 被惰性所消磨。(與考研人共勉!)

　　7)He says medical licensing boards “must make it clear...that painful deaths are presumptively ones that are incompetently managed and should result in license suspension.” (真題 2002, Text 4, Paragraph 9)

　　他說，行醫(yī)執(zhí)照頒發(fā)委員會“必須明確表明...病人痛苦地死亡，可以推定，是由于醫(yī)生處理不力造成的，應該因此吊銷其從醫(yī)資格”。

　　8)Rather, we have a certain conception of the American citizen, a character who is incomplete if he cannot competently assess how his livelihood and happiness are affected by things outside of himself. (真題 1999, Text 3 , Paragraph 2)

　　更準確的說，我們對美國公民有某種觀念：如果一個人不能正確評價自身的生活和幸福是如何受到外界影響的，那么他就不是一個完整的人。

　　9) Some will report decreased appetite and weight loss. (CET-6, 2003.9, Passage 4, Paragraph

　　有些人會報告食欲下降和體重減少。
