（一）數詞概述

    英語的數詞可以分為基數詞和序數詞兩大類。基數詞表示數目的多少，如：
three ，thirty，forty-nine等。而序數詞表示的則是這些數目的順序，如：third，
thirtieth ，forty-ninth 等。數詞與不定代詞很相似，其用法相當于名詞與形
容詞。中考對數詞的考查主要是數詞的“復數形式”的應用、分數的構成形式以
及詞形變化中的基數詞轉換為序數詞。當表示確切的數目時，hundred ，thousand，
million 等數詞用單數形式；表達不具體的數目，如成百上千，成千上萬等時，
hundred ，thousand等數詞用復數形式，且在其后加介詞of. 英語中的分數是由
“基數詞+ 序數詞”構成的。分子用基數詞表示，分母用序數詞表示，分子大于
“1 ”時，作為分母的序數詞要用復數形式。基數詞轉換為序數詞常在詞形轉換
中考查，要特別記住某些序數詞的一些特殊變化形式。如：one ——first ， two
——second， three——third ， five ——fifth ， eight——eighth， nine
——ninth ， twelve ——twelfth ， twenty ——twentieth 等等。

    （二）基礎知識梳理

    1.基數詞

    1 ）基數詞表示數量。13~19 的基數詞都以-teen 結尾，如：thirteen，nineteen
等。20~90 十位數的整數都以-ty 結尾，如：twenty，ninety等。

    2 ）表示兩位數詞時，十位與個位之間要加連字符。三位以上的數詞，在百
位數與后兩位數之間，要用and 連接。如：four hundred and ninety-seven.注
意，千位數與百位數之間用逗號分開，如：five thousand ，three hundred and
twenty.

    3 ）在表示一個具體的數目時，hundred ，thousand，million 都要用單數
形式。如：several hundred ，two thousand，ten million 等。在表示大概數
目時，則用hundreds of ，thousands of，millions of.

    4 ）數詞與其他詞構成復合形容詞時，其中的名詞要用單數形式。如：an eight-cent-stamp，
a three-month-old baby.

    2.序數詞

    1 ）序數詞表示順序，使用時一般前面要加定冠詞。基數詞變序數詞有一定
的規律，下面的口訣可幫助你記憶：

    基變序有規律，123 特殊記。

    th要從4 加起，8 減t ，9 去e. ty 變成tie ，ve要用f 替。

    若要變為幾十幾，只變個位就可以。

    2 ）有時序數詞前不用定冠詞，表示“再一、又一”的意思。如：

    Soon the Greens had a second child——a son.很快格林夫婦又有了一個
孩子——一個兒子。

    3.分數，小數和百分比

    1 ）表示分數時，分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞。當分子大于1 時，分母須
用復數形式。如：1/2 上讀作one half或a half， 1/4讀作one fourth或a quarter，
2/3 讀作two-thirds， 3 2/5讀作three and two-fifths.

    2 ）讀小數時，小數點前的基數詞與前面所講的基數詞讀法完全相同，小數
點讀作“point ”，小數點后只需將數字一一讀出。如15.07 讀作fifteen point
zero seven.

    3 ）百分數的讀法為：先讀基數詞，再讀百分號。如5%讀作five percent.

    4.年份和日期

    1 ）年份的讀法為每兩位數讀一個詞。如：

    1950讀作nineteen fifty

    1800讀作eighteen hundred

    2000讀作two thousand

    2 ）日期的讀法有兩種

    （1 ）先月后日，日子要讀成序數詞。如：9 月29日可讀作September （the）
twenty-ninth

    （2 ）先日后月，在月份之前加Of. 如：9 月29日也可讀作the twenty-ninth
of September

    3 ）年月日同時出現，年代放在最后，年代前用逗號隔開。如：2005年2 月
1 日可寫成the first of February ，2005或February（ the） first， 2005

    5.時間和鐘點

    6 ：00讀作six （o'clock ）

    7 ：30讀作seven thirty／half past seven 9 ：45讀作nine forty-five
／a quarter to ten 2：15讀作two fifteen ／a quarter past two

    6.編號的表達

    1 ）事物名詞（不加冠詞）+ 基數詞。如：Lesson One，Part Three，Channel
Five，Gate Nine ，，World War Ⅱ

    2 ）定冠詞+ 序數詞+ 事物名詞。如：the first lesson，the third part，
the fifth channel ，the ninth gate，the Second World War

    7.加減乘除的英語表達

    plus/and加，minus 減，time/multiplied by乘，divided by除。如：

    1 ）12 +8=？ How much is twelve plus/and eight？

    2 ）40—11=29 ， Forty minus eleven is/equals twenty nine. 3）3 ×
6 =18 ， Three times six is/equals eighteen. 4）56÷7=？ How much is fifty-six
divided by seven？
