Notes：1. Some introductions are more formal than others. The use of first names indicates informality.
2. In English－speaking cultures， peolle usually shake hands on first meting.

課文注釋及詞匯講解
We are going to be working together.
我們將在一起工作。
該句用的是將來進行時，意義相當于一般將來時，即該句也可以說成：We are going work together. 用將來進行時目的是語言更加形象生動。中國學生往往不敢用將來進行時。其實該時態用法與一般將來時基本一樣，而且能豐富我們的表達方式，也更符合口語習慣。

我下個月將到紐約去工作。
have to 不得不，必須
must的意思也是必須。
兩者的區別為：
have to 是一種客觀要求。
must 為主觀認為。
eg. According to the contract【合同】 wehave to pay by L/C【信用證】
根據合同規定，我們必須以信用證付款。【合同條款是客觀要求】

the States 指美國【注重：首字母要大寫并且要在詞尾加－s表復數】
be on a visit 在訪問中
介詞on在這里指在從事中；處于情況中。
eg. I‘m here on business. 我來這兒出差。
host 主人
女主人為hostess
Dr 為 doctor的縮寫，是博士或醫生的頭銜�？梢詥为氂脕矸Q呼人，也可以加在姓的前面稱呼人。
eg. Dr Smith 史密斯博士/醫生【依上下文而定】
move 搬家，移動
eg. The traders are going to move theiroffice to Wall Street.
這些貿易商打算把辦公室搬進華爾街。
join 加入，參加
eg. She‘s just joined the company.
她剛剛到這個公司工作。
