 　　2017考研英語閱讀備考指南——邏輯的運用(八)

　　考研英語閱讀備考過程中，不少同學就是背單詞，一本單詞書背了幾遍，但是遇到文章還是看不懂。怎么回事?這是因為英語文章在解讀的過程中比較小的語言單位不是單詞，而是句子成分，或者說是一個有意義的語言鏈條。這些鏈條我們需要通過語法知識和上下文語境將其整合，拼湊成更長的有意義的語言鏈條。所以，在英語閱讀中，我們學會如何閱讀才至關重要。那么，需要怎么解讀真題呢?下面我們就以2015年考研英語一閱讀真題的Text 4為例，來具體講解一下邏輯在解題中的運用。

　　36. According to the first two paragraphs, Elisabeth was upset by

　　[A]the consequences of the current sorting mechanism.

　　[B]companies’ financial loss due to immoral practices

　　[C]governmental ineffectiveness on moral issues.

　　[D] the wide misuse of integrity among institutions.

　　回到原文：

　　Two years ago, Rupert Murdoch’s daughter, Elisabeth, spoke of the “unsettling dearth of integrity across so many of our institutions”(眾多機構中誠信缺失這一現象令人感到不安，這里的unsettling和題干中的upset屬于同義替換詞。所以我們知道這一道題應該選擇和dearth of integrity想關的選項。但是選項中，沒有類似的表達。在　[D] the wide misuse of integrity among institutions這個選項中，雖然提到了integrity, 但是它是說the wide misuse濫用誠信，這和原文中的dearth of integrity誠信缺失，意義不符，故該選項錯誤). Integrity had collapsed, she argued, because of (重點邏輯關系詞，表示因果關系，后面的內容為原因)a collective acceptance that the only “sorting mechanism”(sorting mechanism的結果是Integrity had collapsed，這可以由because of得出，所以[A]the consequences of the current sorting mechanism，目前分層機制的結果就是integrity had collapsed, 實際上也就是dearth of integrity, 所以該選項為正確答案) in society should be profit and the market. But (重點邏輯關系詞，表示轉折，后面內容常常是出題點)“it’s us, human beings, we the people who create the society we want, not profit(這實際上是一個省略句，還原后為it’s not profit that creates the society we want; 這里profit和us, human beings, we the people 并列)”.
