2010考研英語一翻譯題分析及參考答案(新東方)

　　基本分析：

　　原文選自李奧帕德的《沙郡歲月：李奧帕德的自然沉思》，本書是環保生態的經典著作，中譯本由吳美真翻譯，中國社會科學出版社出版。

　　以下是我做的一個初譯稿，時間倉促，有誤的話，請指出。

　　后面我有詳細的分析。

　　46)Ornithologists (出題人改為：Scientists) jumped to the rescue with some distinctly shaky evidence to the effect that insects would eat us up if birds failed to control them。

　　科學家們迅速趕來救援，他們使用的證據明顯站不住腳，大意是說：如果鳥不能控制這些蟲子，蟲子就會吃光一切。

　　47)but we have at least drawn nearer point of admitting that birds should continue as a matter of biotic(出題人應該把biotic“生物的” 改為了intrinsic“固有的，內在的”) right, regardless of the presence or absence of economic advantage to us。

　　但是我們起碼得到了一種比較相近的觀點，即：承認鳥類應該繼續享有其固有的生物權利，而不管它們是否對我們具有經濟價值。

　　48)Time was when biologists somewhat overworked the evidence that these creatures preserve the health of game by killing weaklings(出題人把這個詞改為the physically weak)， or that they control rodents for the farmer(出題人應該把這句刪除了)， or that they prey only on worthless' species。

　　有一種證據認為，這些生物通過獵殺弱者來保存獵物的健康繁衍，或者這些生物捕殺的只不過是毫無意義的物種;曾幾何時，生物學家有點濫用這種證據。

　　49)In Europe, where forestry is ecologically more advanced, the non-commercial tree species are recognized as members of the native forest community, to be preserved as such, within reason. 在歐洲，其林業在生態上更加發達，公益林木被認為是原始森林群落的一部分，本身應該得到合理保護。

　　50)It tends to ignore, and thus eventually to eliminate, many elements in the land community that lack commercial value, but that are (as far as we know)(命題人把原文括號部分刪除了) essential to its healthy functioning. 我們很容易忽視，因而最終會淘汰土地群體里的很多重要因素，雖然這些要素缺乏商業價值，但他們對土地的健康機制卻至關重要。
