| Never, Never Give Up We often hear people say, “Never give up.” These can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up. One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. If we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities. In short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day. 參考譯文： 永不放棄 我們常聽到人們說：“永遠不要放棄。”這句話可能是要鼓勵別人，也可能是表示自己的決心。相信自己的人，不管經歷多少次失敗，都會不斷試著要達到目標。我認為，有成功的決心是每個人都應該有的重要特質。因此，我認為我們應該永不放棄。 其中一個理由是，如果我們太輕易放棄，就幾乎無法完成任何事。我們第一次嘗試新事物會失敗，這是很平常的事，所以我們不應感到氣餒，而應該要再試一次。而且，如果我們總是一失敗就放棄，就無法培養新技能并且不斷地成長。我們應該永不放棄的另一個原因是，只有再努力一次才能從錯誤中學習。如果我們不再試一次，那么我們所學到的教訓就白白浪費了。最后，我們應該永不放棄，因為當我們努力達到目標的時候，我們就會培養出自信，而這種自信將有助于我們在生活的其他領域中獲得成功。如果我們不挑戰自我，我們就會開始懷疑自己的能力。 簡言之，當我們努力追求目標時，永不放棄是很重要的。不管最后有沒有成功，我們都會學到一些東西，而我們所學到的東西，將會使自己成為一個更好、更有自信的人。而且，如果放棄的話，我們就沒有機會達到目標。但是如果能不斷地嘗試，總有一天我們一定會有機會成功的。 |
