  3月27日下午16:00-18:00，應(yīng)計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院邀請，山西省太原理工大學(xué)校“百人計劃”特聘教授Weili (Lily) Wu將在我校計算機學(xué)院實驗樓報告廳作“我的人生——快樂、健康、感恩比杰出成就更重要”的專題講座，歡迎廣大師生準時參加。

報告內(nèi)容簡介：

Weili Wu博士在她目前的學(xué)術(shù)生涯中取得了令人矚目的成績，先后在頂尖學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表論文及專著150余篇，在國際權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)會議上發(fā)表論文100余篇，主持十余項美國國家自然基金，及一項中國國家自然基金。在此次演講中，Wu博士將以自己的人生成長經(jīng)歷為藍本，為我校師生的個人發(fā)展與職業(yè)探索提供靈感，啟發(fā)新的思路。Dr. Wu’s academic career is impressive with more than 150 peer reviewed prestigious journal publications, 100 conference presentations, books, awards and honors, professional recognition and service and a dozen research grants. As proud as she is of her professional achievements, she is just as proud of her personal life and has always worked on finding a balance between the two. In this talk, Dr Wu will provide inspiration to undergraduate and graduate students in Taiyuan University of Technology.

個人簡介：

Lily Wu， 教授，博導(dǎo)，現(xiàn)任山西省“百人計劃”太原理工大學(xué)計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院特聘教授，美國德克薩斯達拉斯大學(xué)計算機系數(shù)據(jù)管理與數(shù)據(jù)通信(Data Management and Data Communication)研究中心主任。2002年畢業(yè)于明尼蘇達大學(xué)，獲得計算機科學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位，主要研究方向為數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)、大數(shù)據(jù)、社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)、無線網(wǎng)絡(luò)等。至今已在IEEE TKDE、TMC、INFOCOM等世界頂尖雜志和國際權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)會議上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文250余篇。目前任多家國際期刊副主編，多次擔(dān)任國際學(xué)術(shù)大會主席。Dr. Weili (lily) Wu received her MS and PhD degrees in computer science both from University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the design and analysis of algorithms for optimization problems occurring in Data Science, especially in Big Data, Social computing, and wireless database systems with connection to wireless communication. Most of her research has been founded by the NSF (USA), and CNSF (China). She has published more than 250 papers in prestigious journals and conferences such as IEEE Trans on Knowl. Data Eng. (TKDE), Comput. Social Systems, Network & Service Mgmt, Mob. Comput. (TMC), IEEE INFOCOM, ACM SIGKDD, Int. Conf on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS), Database & Expert Systems Appli. (DEXA), SIAM Conference on Data Mining, etc. She is an associate editor of Int. J. of Bioinformatics Research and Applications (IJBRA), Knowl. Inf. Syst. (KAIS). She was selected as a site evaluator to review NSF research grant proposals (ITR, sensors, infrastructure, etc) along with invitations to multiple panels at NSF. She is an Organization Co-Chairs/program/Advisory committee member of many top conferences including INFOCOM, ICDM, DASFAA, COCOON, etc). She is a senior member of IEEE.
