　　eg:We see Ferris cut across the front lawn and enter into a house.

　　我們看到費麗斯抄近路穿過前面的草坪進了一所房子。

　　cut back 消減，降低

　　eg:Father lost his job last week,and my pin money was also cut back.

　　爸爸上個禮拜失業了，我的零花錢也減少了。

　　cut corners 1)走捷徑 2)省錢(或人力，時間等)

　　eg:Go this way,then we can cut coners.

　　走這條路，我們就能抄近路了。

　　eg:If you wonder how to cut corners,there's an obvious place to look at-your spending habits.

　　如果你想知道如何省錢，有個明顯的地方時你需要考慮的--你的消費方式。

　　cut down 消減，減少

　　eg:Strenuous efforts have been made to cut down government expenses to a desirable level.

　　為把政府開支消減到令人滿意的水平，所付出的努力是艱巨的。

　　eg:The police car cut in ahead of the escaping robbers.

　　警車超前擋住了在逃的劫匪們。
